Blackberry Crush Cocktail

It's cocktail time! I don't know about you, but I love a good cocktail (aka sippy sip). Every month, I host Sip & Spills for my friends. It's a chance for us to relax, relate, and release! The Blackberry Crush Cocktail was the signature drink a few months ago and it was a hit! So, it was a no-brainer when deciding which cocktail to feature first on my channel.

There are so many things to love about this cocktail. First, it doesn't require a lot ingredients or steps. I appreciate the fact that I didn't have to go to bartending school to recreate this recipe. I also love that this recipe calls for fresh fruit. Adding fruit to a cocktail brings natural sweetness and flavor. This cuts down on the amount of added and artificial sugars included in a cocktail, which is great! It's also fun to make with others, but can easily be prepped before your get-togethers for your guests to self-serve.

Ingredients

  • 4- 5 blackberries

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon low carb simple syrup

  • 1 1/4 ounces vodka

  • Seltzer

  • Ice

  • Mint sprig (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a glass, combine blackberries, lemon juice, and low carb simple syrup. Lightly crush the blackberries to release their juice.

  2. Add ice and vodka, and top with seltzer. Stir to combine.

  3. Garnish with a mint sprig (optional).
